ISDEV Director, Professor Muhammad Syukri Salleh, is currently undergoing his sabbatical for a period of five months commencing January 2010. During his absence, ISDEV current Deputy Director Dr Fadzila Azni Ahmad will take the helm as ISDEV Acting Director whilst Dr Zakaria Bahari will be ISDEV Acting Deputy Director. At the end of his sabbatical, Professor Syukri is scheduled to report back to the university in June 2010.

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: The Prophet (salallahu 'alaihi wassalam) said: When a man goes out of his house and says: "In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah; there is no might and no power but in Allah," the following will be said to him at that time: "You are guided, defended and protected."
