Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: The Apostle of Allah (salallahu 'alaihi wassalam) said: Do not eat meat with a knife, for it is a foreign practice, but bite it, for it is more beneficial and wholesome [Hadith from Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 27, Hadith Number 3769] .

So by mercy from Allah , (O Muhammad), you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude (in speech) and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah . Indeed, Allah loves those who rely (upon Him) [Aali 'Imraan, 3:159] .

UNFORGETTABLE MEMORIES OF THAILAND

In front of Baan Nua Mosque 11, 12, 13 Nov - A memorable trip to Thailand organized by USM MISDEV' 11, have shown a big success. The trip had taken place in 3 different areas in South Thailand- Nakhorn Si Thammarat, Baan Nua and Hat Yai. The purpose of the trip is to gain a better understanding on the subject SIW505- Islamic Epistemology & Tasawwur. The journey began on the bright Friday morning with the group of 52 delegates including lecturers, researchers and students departed from USM Penang at 8 am with the target to reach Walailak University which is located in the district of Nakhorn Si Thammarat at 5 pm. Walailak University In the middle of the journey, we stopped at Sadau for Friday Prayer and lunch. The very outrages spicy foods from Thailand had become the first hurdle for most of the delegates. On the authority of Wabisa bin Mabad, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: I came to the messenger of Allah and he said: "You have come to ask about righteousness ?" . I said:" Yes." He said: "Consult your heart. Righteousness is that about which the soul feels tranquil and the heart feels tranquil, and wrongdoing is that which wavers in the soul and moves to and from in the breast even though people again and again have given you their legal opinion (in its favor)." [A good hadith transmitted from the Musnads of the two Imams, Ahmed bin Hanbal and Al-Darimi, with a good chain of authorities] .

IDMAC11 SETS TO GO

Preparations for the 5th ISDEV International Islamic Development Management Conference (IDMAC11) to be held tomorrow and the day after tomorrow (13-14December 2011) at USM's University Conference Hall are settled. A total of 61 papers will be presented at the Conference. Participants from as far as Pakistan and as near as Thailand have begun to arrive in Penang. On the first day of the Conference, ISDEV Director Professor Muhammad Syukri Salleh will deliver a Keynote Address entitled Preliminary Understanding of Islamic Marketing and Asset Management , while on the second day, the leader of Ban Nua Community in Thailand Dr Tabrani Abdul Latif will deliver a second Keynote Address entitled An Islamic Grassroots Approach to Asset Management: A Ban Nua Experience. Say, "It is He who has produced you and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful." [al-Mulk, 67:23] .

THE WEEKLY TUESDAY'S TEACHING

8 Nov - 10th of Zulhijah would be a historical event for all Muslims. 'Sacrifice', is a word which carries multiple meanings and interpretations for each individual, but for sure the story behind that date would be a lessons for all Muslims. In conjunction with the recent Eid -al Adha that was celebrated by Muslims all countries in the world, Ustaz Yasir also took the opportunity by recalling the events that took place between Prophet Ibrahim As and his son Prophet Ismail AS that led to the events of the Sacrifice. The story started from the beginning till the end of the events of the Sacrifice which had involved them both. The session become calm and melancholy when each attendees began to feel the sacrifice made, and are aware of the lessons to be collected based on the story.
