Banner for The 1st KAPPI On 15 January 2019, 50 delegates from ISDEV left for an academic trip to Medan, Indonesia. They were there to participate in an academic gathering as well as make a visit to several interesting places nearby. The academic trip was led by ISDEV Director, Associate Professor Dr. Zakaria Bahari with the programme chairman Dr. Azreen Hamiza Abdul Aziz with another four ISDEV lecturers, Dr. Shahir Akram Hassan, Dr. Mohd Syakir Mohd Rosdi, Dr. Azrin Ibrahim and Dr. Murni yusoff. The five days academic trip included a two days academic gatherings jointly organized by ISDEV, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) and Universitas Medan Area (UMA). Do not sit in ambush on every road to threaten people and hinder from the Way of Allah those who believe in Him, seeking to make His Way crooked. Remember how He multiplied you when you were a few in number and see what was the end of the mischief-makers of prior nations [Translation of al-A'raf, 7:86] .

" And you were not covering yourselves, lest your hearing testify against you or your sight or your skins, but you assumed that Allah does not know much of what you do. " Note   [Translation of Fussilat, 41:22] Note : The limbs and faculties will say: "You did not seek to hide your evil from us: in fact you used us for your evil, because we were in your power. Did you not know that Allah knew everything and that our knowledge would be evidence against you?"

ISDEV delegates at Penang International Airport before departure on 9th December 2017 and arriving at Surabaya Juanda International Airport Residing in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia for 10 days has given 1001 invaluable experience to a total of 8 ISDEV delegates consisting of RISDEV (ISDEV Postgraduate by Research) who were flown on 9th December 2017.
